Thank you
Many thanks to the parents who are very kindly helping with our library at the moment.

If you know of any past or present librarians who might be able to give us some of their time, or anyone else who is willing to learn how the could help us with our libraries, please let us know.

Travelling Book Fair
A big thank you to all the parents and children who supported the Book Fair in October. We were able to buy £60 worth of new books for the library from this.

Church visits
Years 3 and 4 have been studying the Christian Churches in Rye and how they are very similar in their furniture and worship, but also are quite different buildings.

The children were amazed to see the beautiful architecture and found the visits awesome.

The children have worked with Roger Stevens, Pie Corbett, John Rice, David Orme, Valerie Bloom and Brian Moses so far. Look out for next term’s date.

Poetry Day
The children were involved in a poetry day with Brian Moses, performing to KS1 and KS2 pupils.

He also created some great poems with some Year 3,4,5, and 6 pupils in a poetry workshop.

The Gruffalo
A group of KS1 children went to see the Gruffalo at the White Rock Theatre in Hastings, after reading and listening to the picture books by Julia Donaldson.

The children and parents alike found it irresistibly charming and full on monstrous fun, as well as learning some science about prey and predators.
The children were praised for their impeccable behaviour.

Joseph and His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat
37 pupils went to the Congress Theatre in Eastbourne to see “Joseph” on Tuesday 8th November.

The children thoroughly enjoyed the performance and ended up joining in with the singing and dancing to the music.

They were also praised for their impeccable behaviour and politeness by both usherettes and other adults in the auditorium. Well done everyone, and thank you to Mrs Turner for organising the above events.

K’Nex Challenge
We ran a K’Nex Challenge on Wednesday 6th November after school. Children brought their parents along to join in. We made some amazing models!!
