Rye Community Primary School

Construction began on the new primary school and Children's Centre, Rye, in July 2007. It is hoped that both the school and Children’s Centre will be open by September 2008.

The new building, which will consist of 11 classrooms for up to 330 pupils, aged 4 – 11, will replace Tilling Green Infants and Freda Gardham Community School. It is envisaged that 30 staff will be employed at the school plus 4 at the children’s centre.
