The afternoon might have been dreary but the football played by both teams most certainly was not. Both teams played attractive attacking football: dribbling, passing and tackling with a skill that belies their ages, 10 - 11 years.

The outcome of the match, Freda Gardham 3 Winchelsea 5, was, in my mind, an irrelevance compared to the skills and sportsmanship shown by both teams.
