Diamond Class - Reception and Year 1 - have been working on the theme
"Marvellous Magical Me!"




We watched a video of Mr. Benn, a character who visits a fancy dress shop, chooses a costume and then, after checking his reflection in the mirror, becomes a "Marvellous, Magical Person" and has adventures.


 

We changed our role-play area into Mr. Benn's Changing Room where the children could dress up in costumes and act out their adventures. Then we painted pictures and wrote books about our adventures

Famous and Important People

On Wednesday 25th January Diamond Class had a great time working with our Creative Partners.  We made clay models of animals, real and imaginative, with Len Shelley, our sculptor.  Then we danced monster dances, took photographs of ourselves as monsters and listened to monster poems with John Knowles.  It was FANTASTIC!!!
